This position will be responsible to oversee the compliance and incident management functions of the agency and to assure adherence with all applicable program service regulations and billing requirements. It works in consultation with all departments to achieve a culture of continuous quality improvement, high-level mission focus, and ethical conduct.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage and implement processes to ensure organizational compliance with policies, procedures and regulations of the agency and external regulatory bodies.
- Oversee the implementation of the compliance and privacy programs effectiveness.
- Oversight of the incident management process to ensure compliance with program regulations.
- Develops the organizational compliance work plan annually and coordinates annual risk assessment process.
- Provides written and oral comprehensive reports, policies, and procedures that pertain to compliance initiatives and directives.
- Plans and oversees periodic investigations across operational and billing functions related to compliance standards and develops corrective action work plans as needed.
- Develops internal auditing protocols, metrics assessments and reporting methods.
- Maintains current awareness of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, coverage, policies, and development for their potential impact on organizational compliance interests.
- Serve as the Compliance and Privacy Officer for Able2 and/or as assigned by the Chief Operations Officer.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5-years’ experience in related field required.
- Thorough understanding and ability to interpret regulatory regulations; specifically, familiarity with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
- Minimum of 3-years of Leadership experience within programs regulated by OPWDD.
- Thorough understanding of related information privacy laws and regulations including those governing access, release of information, and security technologies.
- Must have strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and excellent judgement in dealing with sensitive issues.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation or have access to reliable transportation, travel is required.
The Director of Compliance and Quality Management position has a salary range of $68,000 - $72,000 per year.
